                               About Nannette

I have worked for many years with both horses and dogs.  In association with several rescue organizations and shelters, I specialize in working with foster families and new owners with post-adoption behavior problems.  My Siberian Huskies and I are active in Northern breed sports including dog carting, dog sledding and skijoring.  We have also competed in breed-specialty obedience, as well as participated in Canine Musical Freestyle and Pet Assisted Therapy.

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA),  through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.  I am a graduate of the Marin Humane Society’s Canine Consultant and Instructor Academy and their Advanced Canine Behavior Academy, and hold degrees in Education and Foreign Languages as well as current California Teaching Credentials. I continue my education by attending seminars and symposia on various canine topics as well as keeping up on the latest literature. I am active in the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and the International Siberian Husky Club, where I am Editor of the Training/Obedience column in the ISHC Newsletter.
